As we move further into the math curriculum, it is important for everyone to know their math facts fluently. To help challenge our Second graders to know addition and subtraction math facts up to 20 we will be practicing this skill as needed and the kids will be taking a math mad minute-and- a half (90 seconds) each month.
To help them with this very important skill, I'm asking that you please work wtih your child and provide them with some time each night to help them learn their math facts. Some ways you can help:
- Flashcards
- writing them on whiteboards
- math websites such as: www.abcya.com or www.fun4thebrain.com
- make it a fun game between you and your child!
