Hi Parents!

Please check your child's folders/backpacks.  A letter went home this weekend to explain about the Nonfiction Research paper your child is writing during Writers Workshop.  The kids need to learn and record facts about their animal from more than 1 resource.  Please help your child find another book or online article that they can use to help write their books. (As much as possible a book they can read independently).

Categories they will write about include:
Where the animal lives (habitat)
What foods they eat (and how they eat)
What does the animal look like
Special characteristics

To go online,  google:    facts about (your child's animal) for kids. That should bring you to a variety of kid-friendly websites that you can look at with your child.

Any questions, just let me know.

Have a great weekend!
Mrs. K. :)

How many math facts can you do in a minute? How about 90 seconds?

To help them with this very important skill, I'm asking that you please work wtih your child and provide them with some time each night to help them learn their math facts.  Some ways you can help:
